Happy Halloween

Hello everyone, hope that y'all had a good week! It's been good here in Rigby South and continuing to find those who are ready to receive this gospel. We are currently working with our investigator, Dustin, and we were able to teach him the Plan of Salvation this week. After the lesson, we set a baptismal date with him for November 19th. His parents were recently baptized a couple months ago and totally have changed their lives around and now love going to church and love being around the missionaries, so us and they are super excited for this to be happening in their family.

On Friday, we met with one of our other investigators who we haven't been able to teach in a couple months and she agreed to listen to the discussions. She's been taught everything and so we decided that she was ready for a baptismal date. We taught her about why Christ was baptized and extended an invitation to her to be baptized and she said she doesn't think she's ready and is afraid of what her parents are going to think. She also came to church yesterday and have another lesson with her this week.

Saturday, we had one of the ward Halloween parties and about 200 people came. About a third of them were either less actives or non members. We were in charge of the cupcake walk and had a really good turn out.

We had 4 investigators come to church yesterday and one of them came in the first time over a year! It was a good Sunday. That's about it for this week. Thanks for all the prayers and support you send my way! God is good. The church is true and Christ lives.

Back in Business

I think it's safe to say that things here are starting to pick back up again in this stake. We were able to find another investigator and he just moved here from the Boise area and he's been taught by the missionaries for a long time. Hopefully we can get things going again and are able to teach him the discussions! We spent a lot of time with our other investigator, Dustin, teaching him the lessons. He has a lot questions and told us that he wants to get baptized! His step dad told us that he needs to get the information locked in his brain so he doesn't turn right around after he's baptized and forget it all. It'll be good for him though, so he never loses it throughout his life.

We correlated with a few new ward mission leaders that were called and we were able to set things up with them in their wards that would help the missionary work continue to progress. We'll that;s about it for this week! Thanks for all the support you send my way! God is Good, he lives and loves each one of us. Have a good week!

Crosby Steals the Nash

Hey everyone! It's been a good week in the Rigby South Stake. We were able to find a new investigator from one of our recent converts. His name is Dustin and he's 12 years old, He just moved here from Arizona and he is super willing to learn more about the gospel. He came to church yesterday and he loved his classes. We are are probably going to start teaching him the discussions this week and we are super excited. We were also able to do a lot of service this week for a couple families in the stake.

I forgot to mention my new companion in my email last week. His name is Elder Taylor and he is from West Jordan, Utah and he's been out on his mission for 21 months. He goes home at the end of December. He is half Japanese and he served in Japan for 7 months but was reassigned to Idaho for medical reasons. He's really funny we get along super well.

I think that's all for this week! Thank you for all you do and for the love, prayers and support you send my way! God id Good!

Transfer Week

Well its was just another week in the South Stake. Not too much excitement has been happening. We taught an investigator that we've been trying to set up an appt. with. We were able to get in a lesson with her and teach her about baptism and it was a good lesson. It's been slow start getting to this point with this family but we are are making good progress.

Conference weekend was good. A lot of good talks and messages were given. President Monson gave a really good message: "Do more than just believe in Jesus Christ and His mission. Wok to learn from Him from the scriptures, come to know Him through prayer, and continually use His power to repent an improve."

Last night, we had to stay in because of a tornado warning that was in the Idaho Falls area. We also had transfer calls last night and my companion and I are both getting transferred out of the area. I'm head back to the Rigby Zone and going to be in the Rigby South Stake. It's been a real treat to serve here in the Iona area and going to miss a lot of good people here! Thanks for all love and support you send this way! Have a good week!
