Just Another Week

Another slow week here in the Iona South Stake. We are still working all of our ward auxiliaries and getting the names that they feel should be taught by the missionaries.

We actually went tracting this week in the 10th ward. They are a new young ward that has a lot of houses being built in the neighborhood. The ward mission leader over that ward gave us a lot of names that lived by him so we made some visits. We saw most of them but they weren't home, but did get some return visits and will try and visit them this week.

Yesterday we had a mission prep class last night with some of the young men and women that have gotten their mission calls. We were able to watch the women's broadcast with our zone leaders and their was a lot of good messages that were shared.

Well, that's about it for this week. We have transfer calls next Sunday so we will found out who's staying or going. Thanks for all of the prayers and support! God is Good!

Breaking Ankles

So this week was awesome and interesting. We saw the Zone Leaders a lot this week. We've been helping them with service. On Wednesday, we were playing tennis and my companion jumped to get the ball and when he landed, he hurt his foot and so now he has a cane. We had it looked at by a couple of nurses and no one seems to exactly know whats wrong with it, but we're going again today to get it looked at. The week was slow due my companion not being able to walk, so we just took it easy and let it heal.

We had Stake Conference the past two days and it was really good. The messages that we shared were super inspiring and uplifting. That's all for those, sorry it was another short email! Thanks again for all of the support! God is Good!

Tender Mercies of the Lord

Hello Friends & Family.

It's been a busy week here in the Iona South Stake. Things are starting to pick back up again which is good for us because we are definitely needing it. My companion and I have been contacting all of the auxiliaries from each ward, Young Men's Presidents, High Priest Group Leaders, Primary Presidents etc. Our Mission President promised us that if we go and do this in each of our areas, then there would a lot of work to do. So far its been good getting around to see everybody and we have gotten a lot of names to go and see. We also had interviews with our Mission President and the one thing he asked was if we were happy or not. He wants the best for his missionaries and is going to help us anyway he can.

We literally spent the whole week with our Zone Leaders; Elder Galang & Elder Allred, and they are super funny, especially Elder Galang, he's convinced that we are going to room together when we got you to school at BYU-Idhao. We did service with them on Friday and helped them 'buck hay'. It was actually a lot of fun loading the hay into the trucks. That night we had the zone leaders car keys and phone went looking for them for a couple hours. As we were driving in for the night, we turned onto a side street and there they were, sitting on the curb, waiting for someone to pick them up. Glad we found them. Anyways, we had so many tender mercies this wee, every single day to be exact. The people of Idaho Falls are amazing. They are good to us missionaries and I'm glad to be serving here.

That's all for this week! Thanks for all you do! God is Good!
