Oh Boy

well this week was a struggle for us. we literally had three investigators that told us that they didnt want to take the missionary lessons anymore. so that put a damper on the whole week and all that happened within 48 hours of each other. but we're keeping our heads up high and hoping for the best. we do have a guy named chris brown in our area and he is not black. he always calls us so we had to block his number. he tries to tell us that he isnt a member but we have his records. hes says that he wants to be taught but its super confusing and about all the excitement in the area thus far.

i went on exchanges with elder smith her serves in the taylor mtn. area. its snowed all day the whole time while were were with each other and so it made it super hard to see people because we didn't have a car and all that good jazz. we had three lessons cancel that day so we did a lot of updating the area book and all that good missionary stuff. we did have a member take us to get some soda' so that made our day.

other than that, our other investigator is progressing really well. on the fist visit with her, we committed her read and pray about the book of mormon and we we saw her on saturday, she read six chapters during the week. she even came to church yesterday and brought her two kids. we are hoping to set a baptismal date with her at the end of this week.

i hope that y'all have a good week. God is good and the church is true!

1 Nephi 22:25

hey, how are y'all doing? well, things here are just getting started here in the ammon west stake. we've been meeting with all of our bishops and trying to get in contact with some people that missionaries in the past have been working with. we had a district meeting with the new district and we have about 5 missionaries that are new to the area and so we talked about earning members trust and starting off the transfer on the right note. we have an awesome district.

on thursday night, we were at a lesson with a part member family who the husband is a non member and the wife is less active. we taught about prayer and keeping the sabbath day holy. we thought we taught the lesson pretty well but afterwards, the lady starting yelling at us and told us that we were targeting her husband and how she doesnt want us teach like that. so there will be no more further appts. with the family. its all good though. the church is still true. the next morning, we got a call from a couple in one of our wards and told us that she had someone for us to teach and so later that night we were able to teach her the restoration of the gospel. it went well and we even committed her to read and pray about the book of mormon. life is good. other than that, its snowed a ton here yesterday but melted and now the weather cant seem to make up its mind.

thanks for all you do! . we have a a couple zone conferences this week and then i'll be going to be on exchanges with elder smith. the church is still true and god lives!

I said we out here grindin', we walkin'

so a born again christian, a jehovas witness, a jew and two missionaries all run into eachother. this may seem like the start of a joke, but it honestly we tracted into all of them in the past four days ive gotten to this area. we're here back in the city of idaho falls and the work here is straight up struggling. this stake has had a past of missionaries who didnt do nothing to help further the work but now, we have the members' trust back and things coming along slowly but surely. anyways, we have 13 apartment complex's, where most of work is and we been tracting some of them this past week. we are having very little success but we ran into a less active lady the other night who wanted us to come back so we are seeing her tonight. this week has just been super crazy.

my new companion is elder olsen. he's been out for 7 months and is from mona, utah. he was raised on a sheep farm and was a sheep rancher before the mission.

we gave talks yesterday in one of our wards and as we came into the church building, we had a non member who was walking around so we decided to talk to him. i guess that's not what he wanted so he started running and left and just kept on running and he never stopped. that was kinda weird. this area is something different but the members here are willing to work and help the work progress.

my companion and I were able to go back to rigby and see two investigators we were working with get baptized. it was good day.

i wish i could tell you everything that happened here in the last couple day but we dont' have much time left here. thanks for all you do! the church is true and and god love us all! y'all have a good week.

Headed to the West Coast (of the mission)

well you probably should've guessed that we have transfers coming up this coming week and I unfortunately am getting transferred. I'm honestly super bummed about leaving this area. it's has been a real treat being able to serve in this stake. the members here are awesome and the work here is great. don' worry though, i'll be back up for the baptism we have this saturday. i;m going back to idaho falls and covering part of the ammon west stake and back in a walking area, so all is good there.

this week was pretty good. we taught our investigators monday night the plan of salvation and he loved it. he agreed to everything and is progressing super well. later that night we had family home evening lesson with the woodhouses and the smiths who are a part member family and taught them about enduring to the end. it was a good lesson.

we found a new investigator on thursday and he's 11 years old. his mother is less active and wants to come back to church but it's hard for her because she has no commitment. it'll be a long process but she's working on it slowly but surely. we also had to help one of our members
in the stake make a student council video for her campaign.

other than that, all is well here in zion. thanks for all you do! the church is true.
